DOTY : Beazley Designs of the Year
While working for MOO, I received another request from The Design Museum. They needed invitation design for the 2019 DOTY (Designs of the Year) award ceremony, sponsored by Beazley.
They had tight guidelines for the colours and graphics, but for a more unique outcome, in one of my concepts I suggested a creative twist for this year’s invitations - a custom fold. The invitation folds from near-a4 to an a6 size.
To create this, I contacted the US warehouse at MOO, who put me in contact with a US folding vendor. The vendor sent over samples to me in the London office so I could make sure the fold was suitable.
The finished outcome was really strong and The Design Museum loved it - they followed up and requested matching menus and place cards.
